Mr. Bowtie, whose real name is a mystery, has been in the industry for over 20 years and covers San Antonio, Austin and all-around the state.. Starting as an undergrad at the University of Oklahoma and working through local TV in west Texas and San Antonio and eventually Fox Sports Southwest, he has told thousands of stories and covered dozens of state champions. He left TV in 2019 to start and grow the sports machine because of how so many great local stories go untold by traditional media who only care about opinions, rankings, predictions and giving out game balls and don’t even cover the actual sports. And yes the bowtie is a tie-tie and NOT a clip-on (outside of a couple given to him by schools).
