San Antonio Brennan limited SA Sotomayor to just 4 1st downs and 16 yards of offense in a 49-0 win on September 19, 2026. Jayshawn Mitchell scored 4 times & those TDs went for 103 yards. Brennan is 5-0 lifetime vs the Wildcats & it’s the 3rd straight shutout in the series.
Sotomayor head coach Juan Morales fell to 0-10 vs his former boss Stephen Basore. They coached together at SA Jay and Morales was an assistant w/Basore at Brennan when it opened including the 2013 5A Texas high school football state finalist team.

It was over when: It took Brennan’s offense a little time to get going but Mitchell’s 1-handed touchdown catch at the 2-minute timeout made it 21-0 and that was it.
Game ball goes to: Mitchell or the Brennan defense? Either way you can’t go wrong. The defense allowed 10 yards in the 1st half and 6 in the 2nd half, partly because of a forced fumble in the end zone that the Bears fell on for a touchdown.
