When Peanut Butter Bowl I was conceived by San Antonio local minister Steve Teel it was done to help families who battle hunger by collecting peanut butter before SA Brandeis and SA Johnson played in 2016. 10 years later more than 2 million people have been helped and the concept has grown state wide.
July 23, 2026 was the official kickoff of PB XI, which has lasted longer than 5 combined Larry King marriages, which included the 1st 6-man participating school in Pawnee and several other newcomers. Links to Teel’s interviews and the kickoff are below!
