Ryder Flugence threw for 5 touchdowns and ran for another but it was the defense that led Boerne Champion to a 62-14 win over New Braunfels Long Creek on September 3, 2026. The Chargers forced 3 interceptions, 2 in the 1st quarter, and 1 was returned for a score. The Chargers are 2-0 for the 4th straight year while the Dragons are 0-2 as a varsity program.
