Mission Sharyland baseball’s Cinderella run continued on May 29/30, 2026 as the Rattlers swept Humble Kingwood Park in the 5A state semifinals 5-3, 5-2 to become the 1st baseball team from the RGV to reach the UIL state finals since 2007 and only the 2nd since 1987. The Rattlers threw 4 runners out on the base paths in game 2 including 2 at home. They are the 2nd RGV baseball team to reach the state final since 1986 (Harlingen South 2007).
